Screwfix to open 11 more stores

Screwfix plans to open 11 more stores, creating 140 jobs, in Ireland later this year.

The jobs include roles in retail management, service assistants and supervisor roles, to help local tradespeople get what they need.

The fast-pace expansion of Screwfix across the country, has seen recent store openings in Carlow, Athlone, Portlaoise, Dublin and Letterkenny.

Since opening stores in 2019, Screwfix has more than 300,000 active customers in Ireland who are shopping for products across a variety of categories including bathrooms, power tools and safety & workwear.

John Mewett, Screwfix CEO, said,”The growing demand for convenience has led to the opening of more stores to help our busy customers get their jobs done. We know that time is money for our customers and our new stores in Ireland will not only enable us to provide our customers with added convenience and certainty, but also allows us to provide even more job opportunities for local communities.”
