RS Ireland, the leading distributor of industrial and electrical solutions, has announced a multi-million-euro investment in a new distribution centre in the new Apex Hub logistics park. Apex Hub is a new development of six large office and warehouse units developed by Park Developments in Ballymount, Dublin 12.
RS Ireland has spent more than 50 years at its current location in Rialto, while next year marks the 80th anniversary of the RS business in Ireland. Moving to the new Apex Hub premises in spring 2027 will more than double RS Ireland’s warehouse capacity, allowing the company to maintain its current growth trajectory. The expansion of the business is expected to create a number of new jobs in a variety of functions over the coming three years.
Apex Hub: a unique development in South Dublin in the last 20 years
Under the management of Park Developments’ Logistics Division, Apex Hub consists of a unique 205,000 sq ft industrial and logistics development inside the M50, the first of its kind in south Dublin in the last 20 years.
Sustainability has been a central focus in the design of the development, with the buildings targeting LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold certification, EU Taxonomy alignment and a BER A3 energy rating. Environmental features across the scheme include rooftop photovoltaic panels, air-source heat pumps, EV charging infrastructure and energy-efficient LED lighting with motion and daylight sensors.

With construction of additional units already under way, we expect continued strong interest from occupiers looking to secure some of the best logistics space currently available in Dublin.”
New facility to support strategic growth
“Our new distribution centre in the Apex Hub in Ballymount will more than double our building capacity to approximately 4,174 square metres (44,929 sq. ft.), which in turn will enable us to increase our inventory including more locally held stock from a wider range of brands,” said Gary Bradley, RS Ireland country manager.
“The new location offers much greater accessibility – situated close to the M50 – as well as having the height capacity to accommodate automation in the future. This will further enhance our customer offering while opening up access to new customers outside of Dublin.
“Moving to a new headquarters in Ballymount will be the next chapter in our proud 80-year history in Ireland,” Mr Bradley said. “We are really excited about our new home and looking forward to sharing details of our journey with our customers, suppliers and colleagues over the coming months.”
