Jones Engineering is proud to have participated in today’s iWish Showcase Event taking place at the RDS in Dublin. This annual event aims to inspire and motivate young women to explore exciting careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

The company will feature an interactive exhibition at the event, showcasing cutting-edge engineering technologies and providing insights into its apprentice and graduate training programmes. These initiatives are designed to cultivate the next generation of mechanical and electrical engineers, with a particular focus on supporting young women entering the field.
Carmel Walsh, Chief People Officer at Jones Engineering, expressed enthusiasm for the event, stating, “Our participation in the iWish Showcase underscores our commitment to education, training, and career development. We are thrilled to engage with students and highlight the incredible opportunities that a career in STEM can offer. We hired over 500 staff in the past year and will continue to build on those recruitment numbers. We will be doing everything we can to support more young women pursuing careers in STEM.”
Jones Engineering has a long-standing history of nurturing talent, currently employing 300 apprentices and over 100 graduate engineers. The company recently inaugurated a new apprentice training centre in Carlow and partnered with TU Dublin on the TrailblazHER Programme, further emphasizing its commitment to gender equality and innovation in the engineering industry.
