When you work with Vision Contracting, you are partnering with a highly progressive, owner-driven company built around a strong, experienced and proven team.
Vision’s directors have been working together on large-scale projects for almost two decades, through tough times and good, applying all of the lessons learned from working for a Top Ten national contractor to their own burgeoning construction services company.
And working with Vision Contracting is – in every sense – a true partnership experience.
MD Niall O’Meara and his fellow founders Mick Allen, Aidan Drummond and Colm Fehily set out to create a new kind of construction services company after departing from the major firm – where they worked together on a series of national landmark projects – in 2011.
As a next-generation construction services and solutions company working in a radically changed sector, they knew they needed to have a crystal-clear vision of what they wanted to achieve and a well-defined philosophy on how to do it.
Head-quartered in Cork and starting with a core of key, trusted staff, Niall and his team would always have hands-on director involvement on all projects. All the important aspects of every project would always be in clear view.
The company would have a customer-centric culture from day one and from the top down. Vision Contracting would build trust and long-term relationships – making make repeat business the key measure of their success.
The Pharma and industrial (as well as retail and commercial) sectors were identified as markets where this new company could make a major impact and, working mostly across Munster and Leinster, Vision has been building an ever-expanding list of blue-chip clients, including Apple, BioMarin, MSD, Eli Lilly, Patron Capital Partners and Moorepark Technology Ltd (MTL).
Growth has been strong and steady as an impressive track record and reputation has been carefully built, with a 2018 turnover of approximately €40m. From day one, Vision Contracting has kept the focus on working in close partnership with clients, their design teams and advisors to achieve optimal construction solutions and deliver best value.
Clients such as BioMarin & Eli Lilly have come to appreciate Vision Contracting’s agility, clarity in communications and rapid problem-solving abilities. On-site teams are trusted to have the skills and insights to trouble-shoot on the go. Quality and safety are paramount. Vision Contracting has always been an early-adopter of the latest processes and technology.
The company was recently honoured as the Best New Entry – Small Sized Organisation at the NISO/NISG All-Ireland Occupational Safety Awards after becoming the first building construction company in Ireland to adopt the iAuditor Platform from SafetyCulture, the industry-leading, tablet-based system that allows for 360-degree data capture and analysis in the field.
The senior management team – MD Niall O’Meara, Mick Allen (Construction Director), Aidan Drummond (Pharma & Industrial Director) and Colm Fehily (Commercial Director) – had the ambition to become and remain a medium sized contractor working on a national basis. This allows Vision Contracting to stay lean and agile, to take on a range of projects from mid-sized to major, but always with a customer-centric, hands-on approach. Details do not get lost in the shuffle or over-looked. This compact, connected and owner-led company will not over-promise and under-deliver.
Vision Contracting aims to self-perform all groundworks, builder’s work and fitout works with their own resources. This makes them more responsive to changing client needs and allows for far more flexibility at site level. It also makes for less reliance on subcontractors and an optimum level of control, connectivity and certainty.
The company has grown steadily to employ over 60 staff at its offices in Cork and Dublin and offers main and management contracting, construction partnering and CSA packages along with design and build contracting.
Vision Contracting has a proven background in pre-construction, value engineering, project and construction management and provides complete delivery solutions.
The construction sector has changed radically since the turn of the decade and even as the Irish economy continues to show robust growth, clients are looking for partners they can trust to deliver on quality and cost.
